Luna Park’s uber-versatile venue, the ‘Stardust Room’ recently hired out by business, Eat.Drink.Innovate for its Ideation Workshop, proved to be a real winner in creating the right kind of atmosphere for attendees to get their creative juices flowing.
Stardust venue enhances creativity
“We were so thankful to Luna Park for hosting our recent Ideation Workshop. It really was the ideal venue for our large team to spark fresh ideas around our theme ‘family fun-times’ and get everyone thinking creatively.”
Susie White, Director of Eat.Drink.Innovate.
The Stardust Room, which can host up to 150 guests, provides a fantastic backdrop to events like the ideation workshop offering: “The best of both worlds–an inspiring location with a professional event space,” says Susie.
“It was such a relief to step away from the traditional bland conference room settings. Working for a full day in the spacious, light-filled room with views of the colourful fun-park was a delight for our team.”
Stardust is a versatile venue space
Stardust is perfect for all kinds of events such as parties or receptions for up to 150 guests, formal dining events, cabarets and other business events, says Sean Brettle, Events Executive at Luna Park.
“The fairground views from the windows in the Stardust Room are gorgeous. Organisers have full freedom to decorate the room, or we can help with theming down to having an all-night popcorn machine to enhance the carnival park feel. It’s all up to the hosts.”
“If they want us to organise fun-themed food like our popular doughnut walls and candy bars full of lollies and chocolates, we can certainly do that. Or if they are going for more of a chic feel we can just as easily serve canapes and set up an elegant flowing champagne tower to greet people as they walk into a magical party.”

Booking Stardust and Moon Deck venues together
While bringing in your own entertainment and music is an option, the Park’s events team can organise entertainment that is best suited to a chosen theme or the size of a room like Stardust. For example, for a carnival-themed event, park games like ‘knock-ems’ can be wheeled in from outside (with a staff member to man the game) and placed in the Stardust Room, or on the Moon Deck if they are booked together.
“We booked the two venues together using the outside Moon Deck for breaks, which kept the team energised as they enjoyed the stunning Port Phillip Bay views.”
Susie White
“Up to 100 people can fit on the Moon Deck which makes a lovely accompanying venue to the Stardust. We highly recommend hiring both spaces together to create an interesting indoor/outdoor feel for special occasions,”

Add in a ride or two
Hosting a business event or corporate day in the Stardust Room can also include a ride attraction or two for one hour or more during a morning or lunch break for extra fun. And with other ‘quirky’ extras thrown in such as red-carpet entry, or a roving contortionist, what team or group of people wouldn’t feel inspired within such an environment?
“Having our own private red carpet entryway into the park and fully enclosed venue area was a real buzz.”

Any event dream can come true in the Stardust venue
There are so many options to choose from when booking Stardust or Stardust plus the Moon Deck venues at Luna Park and with the help of an experienced events executive there is no event that can’t be realised.
“The events team at Luna Park were quick, efficient and accommodating to deal with. I wouldn’t hesitate to return for our next Ideation Workshop. It’s one of the most fun, flexible and professional venues I’ve been to.”
